Christmas Eve

Twas the night before Christmas and all through the house not a creature was stirring not even a mouse.... The stockings are hung by the fireplace with care in hopes that Saint Nick will soon be here!
It was a good night for the Shipp family. After having dinner the kids showered and opened their one and only gift for the night... New Jammie's!!!!

There was much excitement in the air. After they were dressed for the night we loaded the car to find all the fun lights. We could tell that the excitement in the air was closing in on the kids. They asked if they could go home and go to bed.

This last picture is a great one, we told the kids that the first one asleep could open the first gift in the morning. We will see how it works.

This is my favorite time of the year. I love the reason for the season, I know that Christ was born and that he lived his life for us. I love to share this with my children. I love the gospel and how it helps guide my life. I love my elder brother and am thankful for him each and everyday.
So on this Christmas Eve I have one thing to say: Happy Birthday to the Christ child, and a very Merry Christmas to everyone else...

Boys School Christmas Parties!

The boys had Christmas Parties before they got out of school. I thought I would share the pictures with you.

Braydin is already in 4th grade. I can hardly believe it. I don't know where the time went. At his party they played games and had Pizza. (His favorite!!!)

Regan had lots and lots of different treats. They made ornaments with their pictures in them and played BINGO. He is now in the 1st grade and thinks he is pretty cool.

This is both the boys and the stockings that the class filled. They had alot of fun, and I love the fact that I can send them to a school that has teachers that love them and are teaching them new things everyday!!!

Christmas Card Pictures!!!

This past weekend we went and had pictures taken for our Christmas Cards. As you can see from the following shots it was a CRAZY morning.

Her brothers all have a shot with their foot on the wall so she wanted to try and this is what we got. My baby isn't a baby anymore...

Regan has such a goofy laugh that it makes everyone around him laugh. He is such a sweet boy.

In this picture I really am seeing how much he is growing. He isn't my baby anymore.

This is when things turned a little goofy...

This was a staring contest, Paige loves them...

This was the best family picture that we got, that is why on the Christmas cards you will only see the kids. Our family is growing so fast, we have so much fun together. I wouldn't change a thing about any of them...

12 Years Married to my Best Friend!

Today is our 12th anniversary, how time flies when your having fun. When I met Kevin little did I know that I would fall in love and marry him. As most of you know it wasn't love at first sight (for all of us that is!) Some it took a little coaxing, but after realizing what I had I never questioned it again.
I married my best friend, the one that I laugh with, cry with and will spend eternity with. I can go to him for comfort, friendship, and anything else my heart desires!
He tells me I am beautiful, he tells me I'm the women of his dreams, he tells me we will be together for eternity. What more can I ask for.
As most of you know its not an easy task being married, but it is well worth it! Thank You Kevy for all you do for our family. You are everything that I ever wanted in a husband, and more.
I LOVE YOU ALWAYS AND FOREVER!

Paige's next dress

As many of you know my mother-in-law has made dresses for Paige. She has made one for her every year. So we are sharing the next one in line. I love this one the buttons are pencils, and she has a hat.

She thought she looked beautiful, and she did!

Paige's dance class

So last week we were able to go in and watch Paige's dance class. She was so excited... Sad news was my battery went dead before the dance, so here are a few of her warming up.

She was so happy that I was there. She had a grin on her face from ear to ear. She is doing so good in her class, and yes she still bosses the other girls around.

Room Makeover

This past week Tiffany and Casey were here and Kevin decided to mention to Tiffany that my bedroom needed her touch, and that he would let her spend his money to get it done. Well after the make over it got, I am so excited. For the last little while I have been telling Kevin that I needed to start acting and decorating like an adult. So I got rid of my goose in the kitchen and have this amazing new room to sleep in at night. Adulthood here I come!!! As Kevin would say "It only took me 32 there years to get " adulthood that is!!!

Thanks Tiff for your help you're the best. I miss you and wish you all the luck in the world.

Conversation with Regan

I thought I would share my conversation with Regan today before school:

Regan: Mom I know the "F" word the "D" word and the "S" word.

Mom: Oh really well Regan what are these word (I was so scared for what I was about to hear, and I also was going to have to find out who is talking around my kids?)

Regan: Well the "D" word is dang, the "S" word is stupid and the "F" word is fat. Those are all bad words that we don't say, right mom.

Mom: With a big smile on my face I agreed, those where the three words that I thought he was going to say.

So remember when you are in my home please do not use these three words or the other three words that you where all thinking!!! :)

13 Articles of Mormon Culture

1. We believe SUVs and minivans to be our form of transportation, and in
knee length shorts -- which are always nice and, of course, . . . . in multilevel
 marketing.

2. We believe that church ball players should be punished for their own
fouls, and not for unsportsmanlike aggression.

3. We believe that through bread crumbs, cheese, creamy soups, and rice, all
casseroles can be saved through obedience to ward cookbooks and creativity
in the mixing bowl.

4. We believe that the first layers and ingredients of the Dip are: first,
beans; second, cheese; third, chopped tomatoes; fourth, the gift of sour
cream; fifth, olives; sixth, salsa; seventh, guacamole, that is, if you have
it.

5. We believe that a Mormon should have a distinguished or a cute name, that
it's appropriate to name a child after a church leader or a historical
figure including an ancestor, that alternative spellings and French prefixes
only add to a name, and that when referring to the names of General
Authorities, middle initials should be a part thereof.

6. We believe in the same wall decor that exists in many Mormon homes,
namely, framed family proclamations, vinyl lettering, inspirational word
signs, family photos, pictures of temples and Jesus, and so forth.

7. We believe in the gift of re-gifting: church books, crafts, family
photos, baked goods, emergency supply kits, and so forth.

8. We believe in sparkling grape juice -- so long as it is non-alcoholic; we
also believe in bringing root beer and sprite to ward and all other parties.

9. We believe in all that we have scrapbooked, all that we will now
 scrapbook, and we believe that
we will yet scrapbook many great and important things pertaining to our
family, friends, pets, and vacations.

10. We believe in the literal mixing of ketchup and mayo and in the generous
application of ranch dressing; that CBAs (church-based acronyms) will be
used to describe YM/YW, PEC, the Y, NCMO, and CTR; that Mitt Romney will get
Mormons to vote for him any time he runs; and, that the Mormons will enjoy
reading Twilight and The Work and the Glory.

11. We claim the privilege of trying to identify common acquaintances with
any visitor at church, and allow all other people at church the same
privilege; we also believe in name dropping the names of famous people and
general authorities how, where, or what we may.

12. We believe in being subject to scoutmasters, pampered chef hostesses,
and the writers of the U.S. News and World Report Rankings for professional
schools, and in obeying, honoring, and sustaining Glenn Beck.

13. We believe in being above average, good at crafts, optimistic, and being
fifteen minutes late everywhere we go. Indeed, we may say that we follow BYU
football. We believe rumors about famous people joining the church, we hope
to meet the three Nephites, we have endured many pyramid schemes, and hope
to be able to endure all pyramid schemes. If there is anything cheap, free,
sold in bulk, or given away when somebody is moving, we seek after these
 things.

Flag Football

So the boys played Flag Football this year. They loved every minute of it... Because I am such a great mother I only took the camera to the last game, and because of that only Braydin got pictures taken. It started to rain durning Regan's game and it was raining so hard that I never got a chance to pull the camera out. I am so sorry Regan, but know that I LOVE YOU!

So I hope you like Braydin's pictures. Also Channel 7 news came to one of Braydin's games and did a story about the boys. So if you are intrested go to this link and watch the boys play ball!
